Take Back Your Health With Time Management

Career, fitness, health, social life, family, it can feel impossible to fit everything in your day. Managing your time can be the key to your success in health and happiness. 
Making progress in your health journey means making time for you, but somehow that always seems impossible. Where can I find an extra 30 minutes in the day when I already struggle with my schedule? How can I add in a work out, meditation, therapy session, or cook dinner? There just aren’t enough hours in the day. Or so you might believe.

Mastering time management is the unspoken first step in taking care of your whole health. It will give you control over your life and allow you to prioritize your health. Sounds great, right? So, how do you do it?

  1. Prioritize - order your to-do list by importance so you can complete the most important tasks first rather than the easiest tasks just to check the box. This allows you to allocate time for the things that matter most in your life.
  2. Ask Questions - this helps increase efficiency so you can use your precious time wisely. Instead of letting interruptions or distractions get in the way, ask yourself if it is worth your time.
  3. Reflection - this is overlooked far too often. Reflect on the progress you're making and what’s going well or not so well. Stay in touch with yourself and the process. Take time to evaluate your actions and assess if you need to make adjustments to your routine for better results.
  4. Flex - give yourself space to be flexible. Yes, efficiency is key but don’t let that take away from creativity and constructive struggle. It's important to be adaptable and recognize when you need to switch things up. Sometimes, this means hiring out a service, finding a new way to get the task done, or asking for help.

You hold the keys to managing your time. It IS possible to make room for what is important to you. Believe in yourself and take back control!

Making time for yourself and your health should be a top priority. By taking control of your time, you can carve out space for the things that matter most in your life, including your health and wellness goals. Remember, progress is progress, no matter how small. Keep moving forward and see the positive changes that will come as you take care of your whole health.
