What is a personal chef vs a caterer?
A caterer cooks off site and delivers meals. Usually pricing is set per head.  Sometimes the staff is not professionally trained chefs.  A personal chef cooks for you, in your home, per your needs.  No preset menus. Every menu and every dish is designed per your likes, dislikes and dietary needs.  Every ingredient is sourced where you choose and is organic and grass-fed if you choose.

What is a personal chef vs a meal delivery service?
A meal delivery service mass produces food based on a set menu and delivers to you.  A personal chef cooks for you in your home, per your needs, with the ingredients you choose.  Everything is cooked and packaged exactly as you like.  The chef can even serve you a hot meal if you would like!

What is different about a Whole Health Everyday personal chef vs other chefs?
A  Whole Health Everyday chef is not just a professional trained chef but is also trained in health and wellness. Every WHE chef goes through internal company training on topics such as macros, cancer diets, protein, fats, and much more.  Chefs even attend health talks with various schools of thought such as with dietitians, holistic nutritionists, health coaches and many more. Many of the WHE team hold certificates or degrees in nutrition.  Our team has a well round knowledge of many diets and is able to customize menus for your needs.   Health, yet delicous meals is our passion!

What does it mean to be Food Safety Certified at a manager level?
A manager level means the chef did an all day in-depth class to gain this certification.  In a restaurant only one person holds this card, all else is people with food handlers cards which is a short test everyone else in the restaurant  has.  At WHE we require all chefs to be manager level for your safety.

How do I get started?
First call Whole Health Everyday owner, Rebecca Clubb, to discuss which chef may be best for you and to answer any questions you may have.  Then meet with her and the chef via zoom to discuss an in depth list of questions about your dietary needs, meal requirements and likes/dislikes.

Then What?

Each week the chef will send you a menu suggestion list and you chose which items you want.  The chef will do the shopping (or you can) and show up on the appointed day and prepare all the meals.   Each meal is labeled and  heating instructions provided.

I have a meal plan from my trainer/doctor/nutritionist. Can the chef follow that?
YES!  Our chefs can follow any diet plan and even speak to your health professional regarding your needs. Our chefs will come up with creative menus based on your needs

How is the chef chosen?
Rebecca will ask you what day(s) of the week you want the cooking done, what your basic dietary needs are, and what city you live in. This will cut the list of possibilities down for you to then read the profiles on each available chef.  You may choose from the available chefs or she can choose for you.

Can I change chefs after I chose one or have worked with one?
Yes! You may change chefs anytime.

Are all the chefs professionally trained and trained in cooking for specialty diets?
Yes, all WHE chefs are professional chefs with a history of working with all types of diets from Plant Paradox, Paleo, Bulletproof, Vegan, Vegetarian, Cancer, Diabetes, Heart issues, Food Sensitivities, Food Allergies, Whole30, Keto, and much more.  Every WHE chef can take any food restriction and come up with creative delicious meals that fit your needs.  It is what we do!

The chefs of WHE get on going training and education in specialized diets.

How do I reheat the meals?
Unlike restaurant take-out these meals are prepared so when you reheat them they are perfect! When we meet to go over all the intake questions we will ask you how you prefer to heat the meals and the chef will give you heating instructions based on this info.

Can I have the chef prep the meal and not cook it and I will cook it when I get home?
Yes! The chef can prepare the complete meal or just prep. Whatever you prefer. In general the chef will prepare meals in such a way that when you reheat them per the instructions it will come out perfect!

How are the meals packaged?
You may buy your own containers or we can purchase them and bill you.
You may have the meals packaged in individual servings or family style.  You can even have the chef serve you hot meal if you're home when the chef cooks.

Can I see sample menus?
Yes! Chef out the chef pages for sample menus by each chef.  Your menus will be planned per your needs but this will give you an idea of the chefs styles.

Do I have to be home when the chef cooks? What time do they cook?
No.  Most people are not home when the chef cooks but this is up to you.  The chef start time will vary and you can know up front the approx arrival time for your appointment each week

Can the chef serve the meal vs us reheating?
Yes! Ask which chefs are available in the evenings. The chef could cook you a hot meal and serve then prep more items for the rest of your week.

What is the difference of reheating leftover and this service?
Leftovers are leftover foods from a meal prepared just right for serving fresh.  With this service the meal is intended for storage and reheating at a later date so it is prepared just so to be fresh and delicious.

Will the chef clean the kitchen?
Yes, the chef will clean up after cooking. Be sure to leave cleaning supplies and a broom for the chef.

How much does it cost?
Fees range from $70-90 per hour for the chefs time depending on location, dietary needs, length of commitment, number of cook date per week, availability of chefs, time of day the chef cooks, and other factors.
Billable hours are for the intake meeting (flat fee $55), menu planning, making grocery list, emails/calls, shopping time, and in home at the hourly rate. 3 HOUR MIN IN HOME CHARGE

Do I need to commit to a long-term contract?
No, you can use a chef one time or on a weekly basis.
Most people hire one chef to cook on a weekly basis one or two times per week.
If you commit to using the chef weekly then the chef will hold his/her time and commit to working for you on that set day(s) each week.
We only ask for 5days notice to cancel any scheduled appointment. No long term commitment.

Can I have the meals delivered?
In Orange County and LA, CA, Yes, we can rent a commercial kitchen and deliver the meals.  Fees are $45 per day for kitchen rental.  We are not a meal delivery service offering mass produced food. You will still have YOUR chef cook just for YOU. A personal chef creating your meals and delivering them.

What if I am not sure of the kind of meals I should have the chef make?
We have an optional service for a Lifestyle Meal Assessment with chef Brett. This plan will provide you with advice on your health goals and a recommend meal plan.

Can I have the chef use my own recipes?
Yes!  You may have the chef make your recipes

Can I do the shopping myself?
Yes!  If you want to do the shopping the chef will supply you with a grocery list

How long does it take the chef to cook?
Each situation is unique and that is why we charge by the hour.  Generally speaking a dinner for 4 people would be approximately one hour give or take.  It all depends on the menu, the complexity of the meal and the number of servings.  See below

If I want the chef to stay within a time/fee budget is that possible?
Yes, if, for example, you want the chef to try to stay under 4 hours then he/she will plan menus that are possible in that approximate time frame.  You may ask the chef to estimate the time each week after you select the menu and make changes as you would like.

Do you guarantee how long the chef will take cooking?
No we do not but we can give estimates once you choose a menu
See below for menu examples with example times.

Are there other fees besides the cooking time?
Yes, we charge for the chef time to menu plan and shop at the same rates. The usual time for menu planning is 15-30min depending on the complexity of your diet.

Can I have the chef make breakfast, lunches, and snacks as well as dinner?
Yes! We are a personal chef service and can make anything you would like.
We can even do your smoothie prep work and kids lunches!

Who Shops?
The chef can shop wherever you may like or provide you with a grocery list for you to shop.

How do I pay for groceries?
Groceries will be charged to you on your weekly bill.  No fee charged.

Why use a Whole Health Everyday Chef?

Hear from one of our clients what a difference it makes to have our chefs cook for her and her family.
Nicole, Las Vegas, NV
“We were in dire need of some help with food. I have Lyme disease and going through tough treatment. My husband was so tired after work to make anything, so we were eating unhealthy...Then Whole Health Everyday came to the rescue with an amazing personal chef Whitni. We had an initial intake call with Lindsay to get to know our likes and dislikes. They had an intake form that Lindsay completed for me. What a help. Other agencies wanted us to fill out a long forms, so this was extremely helpful. We met the chef on that call as well, so the whole team was informed and organized. Next we scheduled the days and chef Whitni came into our home for the first time. She is so professional and friendly. She made our house feel like home with all of the smells wafting from the kitchen. She made dishes we loved using the Whole30 diet as a required by my physician. She knew the diet well and sent us a link to other recipes. We snapped pics of several dishes and sent them to her. She made our menu and it did not disappoint. We are falling in love with food again. Thank you chef Whitni!!!!! You won’t be disappointed, the fees are reasonable and are charged per hour.”

, Newport Beach, CA

I was so impressed with Rebecca and her amazing staff of talented chefs. I called her last minute and she was beyond accommodating, sincere and pleasant. Not only did I call her one day before my event, but I also had a slew of dietary restrictions. Her personal chef called me that night with a delightful menu. When I shared with her my budget constraints, she offered ways that I could reduce the cost (seriously, who does that these days--especially when you pay per hour). As a very busy working professional and mom, I greatly appreciated her honesty and support to work around my budget, schedule and dietary restrictions. Plus, the food was absolutely delicious--and gluten and dairy free ! My guests loved the tasty creations and couldn't stop talking about my dinner party ! Thank you Rebecca and your amazing staff--most notably Cyndy Klein, my personal chef--for the amazing service. Top notch ! I will most definitely use their services again !
