Gather the family together or schedule a one-on-one session with your favorite WHE chef in your own kitchen in person OR via video call on Zoom. Our professional chefs will teach you basic knife skills, flavor profiles, sauces, healthy cooking, shopping, and "food style". Your session is designed to accommodate your palate and dietary needs. We can even create fun lessons for kids! You control the ingredients and every aspect of the menu.
How does it work?.
Contact WHE owner, Rebecca, to talk through your basic info of your needs and get the intake form.
Fill out the intake form with detailed questions about your lesson event.
Get the list of available chefs that meet your needs and review their profiles and choose a chef
Schedule a Zoom call with the chef & owner, Rebecca to talk about your lesson and review the intake form.
You will be sent a contract and official estimate
Get your suggested customized menu & you will then choose your selections
Can I get menu options? After you do the intake form and choose a chef the chef will send you a customized menu just for your needs. You can also view the chefs web pages for sample previously prepared menus.
Who does the shopping and where do they shop? The chef can give you a grocery list to shop or the chef can shop at any market you choose.
If the lesson is via Zoom will the chef cook too? Yes, the chef will shop and cook along with you.
What does it cost? Custom designed menus: $75-125hr for chefs time to plan, shop, and do the lesson plus the food cost. Typical time: 30min-1.5 hours for custom designed menu plan and typed recipes, 1 hour shopping time, and lesson time could be 2+ hours depending on the lesson. Food cost will depend on the recipe.
Is tipping standard? You should always tip as you see fit but usually a tip would be 15-20% of the labor cost.
