The chef does not just cook their best dishes, the personal chef must create dishes per the clients needs/likes/dislikes and make it taste and look amazing!
The chef does not just follow recipes created by the restaurant executive chef, the personal chef creates their own recipes and often has to adjust on the fly for clients needs.
Each meal prep meal must look and taste amazing even days later! Proper cooking technique and planning for the meal to be reheated is key!
The chef has to create fresh new menus weekly. Every week is different and a personal chef could be making 50+ different items each week!
A personal chef does not just report to work. A personal chef is always learning new dishes, techniques, and staying current on the latest health trends and diets. It's a lifestyle, not a job.
A personal chef works directly with clients to keep them happy and healthy!
JOB DESCRIPTION: In-Home Personal Chef This position is for an in-home personal chef preparing weekly meal for clients as a part of the Whole Health Everyday team.
LOCATIONS: Orange County, California (Long Beach to Riverside to San Clemente) San Diego County Phoenix, Arizona- (Fountain Hills, Paradise Valley, Tempe, Mesa, Cave Creek, N Scottsdale) Las Vegas, Nevada
JOB REQUIREMENTS: ● Must have experience working in client's home ● Meal prep - you must be able to prep a lot of food in a short time! Must know how to make meals that are to be reheated days later and provide heating instructions. This is NOT restaurant take out food. ● Specialty diets - experience cooking plant based, keto, whole30, cancer, diabetes and more ● Custom menu plans - you create all your menus for clients ● Health knowledge - you must know the latest in health and wellness ● Desire to learn diet trends - you must constantly learn what’s new ● Customer service skills a must - you must work well with clients ● Detail oriented - you must communicate clearly with owner and clients ● Must have a car and insurance, liability insurance and manager level serve safe certificate ● Must be able to juggle multiple clients / schedules / multitask ● Computer - you must have a computer, printer, and be able use email, word, excel and dropbox ● Team Player - working as part of the Whole Health Everyday team supporting your fellow chefs EVERYTHING ELSE: ● Flexible schedule - accept which clients you want ● Flexible pay based on your experience/job starting at $25-30hr ● Continual health and wellness training at no charge to you
