How to Stay Healthy and Happy During the Coronavirus Outbreak

The Coronavirus is in full swing right now and many of us are under stay at home or shelter in place orders. It’s easy to fall into the stress and panic of a global pandemic. So, taking active measures to stay positive and healthy is monumentally helpful for both you and your loved ones. Easier said than done, right?
Let’s focus on health and the positivity will follow!

  1. Food! We have to eat no matter what situation we are in. More of us are finding it necessary to cook in this time, so this is a great time to think about what we are eating! Food is the foundation of your health, so rather than diving into the #Quarantine15 you can use this time to dive into new recipes that you wouldn’t have had time for before. We have a ton of recipes available through our blog and recipe page that are full of health benefits and taste amazing! We also have a ton of resources available to help you learn basic and new techniques in the kitchen.
  2. Exercise! Even though many of us have lost access to our gyms or other fitness facilities, there are still many ways to stay fit at home (or outside). Have you taken a hike through a nature path, along the beach, or around a mountain? This is a great way to get fresh air and explore your area. There are also an abundance of home workouts that are being offered for free online through local gyms or public libraries.
  3. Sleep! It is so much easier to manage stress and panic when you are well-rested. If food is the foundation of your health, and exercise builds on it, sleep maintains your health. Protect your sleep during this time. It’s more important than ever to get a full night’s rest for both your mental well-being and your physical well-being. Sleep is crucial to a strong immune system.

If you can incorporate these three things: good food, exercise, and sleep into your daily quarantine routine, then positivity is more likely to follow. Remember, this too shall pass! And Whole Health Everyday is here with you and for you throughout this time.
