Slow cookers are truly a kitchen superstar. They make cooking a cozy meal for the family uncomplicated.
Using a slow cooker is fairly simple. Just plug in your slow cooker, add your chosen recipe’s ingredients, set the cooker to low or high, depending on the recipe’s instructions, add the lid and let it cook.
While the slow cooker isn't well suited to every cooking task, it has many significant advantages. You can put recipe ingredients in it before going to work and come home to a meal. A slow cooker meal is an excellent choice for a busy day, whether you work in or out of your home. Typically, slow cooker recipes call for only one step preparation. You simply need to chop your ingredients, place them in the pot, add your liquid and then let the slow cooker do the rest.
Slow cookers are also incredibly useful when it comes to getting the most out of cheap cuts of meat, like shoulder, shank and brisket. It’s my go-to all during the fall and winter. But the slow cooker won't heat the kitchen up the way a large oven will, a real plus on a hot summer day!
