For my own benefit and for the benefit of my clients, I try to keep up the latest information in the areas of diet, health and nutrition. However, with a pretty busy schedule, it isn’t always easy to crack open a book and read all the information I would like to. That is why I love listening to podcasts when I’m am commuting, doing housework or working out. There are thousands of podcasts out there, and many of them focus on health and nutrition as their primary topic. These podcasts are usually about 2-3 hours long-pretty much a mini seminar-and are completely free!
Some of the best episodes I have listened to recently are on the Joe Rogan Experience and the Tim Ferriss Show. Joe Rogan has many guests that are experts in the field of diet and nutrition, but my favorite has to be Dr. Rhonda Patrick. Dr. Rhonda Patrick is a wealth of knowledge- check her out on episodes #568, #672, and #773 of the Joe Rogan Experience to hear what she has to say on the topic of supplements, nutrition and sports medicine. For great info on fasting and ketogenic diets, listen to Dom D’ Agostino, episode #117, on the Tim Ferris show. Love this blog post, Chef Lindsay! I love listening to podcasts too, especially while I clean the house. I recently listened to a great interview with Darin Olien on the Rich Roll podcast all about superfoods. So fascinating!
