Chef Michelle shares her inspirations and advice.
What inspired you to get into the health and wellness cooking?
I believe all cooking should be health and wellness-centered, even if it's a not so “healthy” meal, that on that occasion, brings you joy and happiness. Ultimately, being well nourished is essential to living your best life.
How did you end up being a personal chef?
Being a personal chef has been my ultimate dream, after many years in the industry, I consider myself so blessed to have a way to practice my passion in an environment that enriches my soul and I thoroughly enjoy.
What is most rewarding to you about your profession?
Food is something that is personal and essential in everyone’s lives and being the person that can create meals like I do, in a way that supports the functions of my clients' lives, is my ultimate reward.
How do you personally eat?
My clients, as most people, all want healthy yet delicious meals. I provide them with that and that is exactly how I like to eat as well.
What tips/advice would you give to someone trying to achieve optimal health?
Give yourself some grace.
Changing habits that have been formed over all the years of your life is not an easy task. Do the research, ask the people around you how they practice healthy living, find what sounds like an easy transition and simply try. That alone is huge accomplishment and I for one, am proud of you!
