The moment I sat down to write this I realized there wasn't a more perfect time to be focusing on self health. No matter what trials you are going through in your day-to-day life, you are numero uno.
If you have commitments and don't have YOUR self health in order... You won't be able to adequately complete your own tasks. Continual stress puts your body in a constant fight or flight state, releasing an abundance of cortisol. Too much stress can overwork your immune system and weaken it, making it less efficient at protecting You!
As a private chef I am always running around and on the go.
Here are a few tips that help get me through the day when it comes down to it:
Having a hobby like art or creating that new recipe at home brings me back down to earth to a more relaxing state.
Taking time to read something you enjoy, educating yourself and becoming a better you.
Working out and getting out the daily demons that haunt you releases good endorphins keeping you from a harried state of mind.
Now I know it sounds obvious, but taking the time for yourself to just breathe deep and slow and meditate brings you back to a more positive, peaceful state of mind.
These are only a few tips I use daily to live a more positive and productive life. I hope they can help you too.
