Goat Yoga & Stress Relief by Chef Lindsay

No matter what your holidays look like this year, they're probably still stressful and stress has extremely negative effects on your health. Now's a great time to try something different and what could be more fun than goat yoga?
Over the Thanksgiving weekend I was able to experience something I have been wanting to try for a while. A short walk from my house in San Juan Capistrano is a cute little place called the Goods and Goats market. They host a variety of fun events throughout the year- kid’s workshops, craft markets, holiday petting zoos, as well as a year-round shop that sells soaps and lotions made from the resident goats and the most exciting thing- goat yoga!
Needless to say, the class is a ton of fun. A beginner level yoga flow class is paired with a bunch of cute pygmy goats that love to hop on and give you a back massage while you are hitting your cat/cow pose. As an extra bonus,  after years of trying to get my husband to go to a yoga class with me, he finally relented, the lure of playing with cute baby goats was strong enough to convince him.
For a full schedule of classes and events go to goodsandgoatsmarket.com or follow them on Instagram at goodsandgoatsmarket.

Never would have thought to incorporate animals into a yoga routine.
