I think we can all agree that 2020 has been a year of change. We changed the way we work, changed the way we eat, and changed the way we go to school but we aren’t taking the time to change how we decompress after a long day. Taking just 15 minutes a day to get in touch with yourself can have quite a few health benefits, as well as make you feel great. Yoga is one way to help get yourself back to your center.
Before 2020, the stress of a corporate kitchen was taking its toll on me. I had trouble shedding my stress everyday and was having trouble sleeping. I found that just 15 minutes of yoga after a long day did wonders for my mental health as well as my overall health. I was getting better sleep every night, waking up feeling more and more refreshed. I feel healthier than I have ever felt and I really believe it starts with something as simple as dedicating 15 minutes a day to yourself. Clear your mind and listen to your body. You never know what its trying to tell you until you take the time to listen.
