Traveling is one of my favorite things to do and I have been to over 40 countries.
Eating well has been a priority for my wife and I while traveling. Here are a few tips.
  • Look for the best new chef or best young chefs in the city- Often some of the most exciting food. Also they will have worked under other top chef in the area and you can often get more recommendations from them.
  • Coffee shops- If you don’t go at a busy time and can chat with the baristas it’s a good way to get tips on the local dining scene.
  • Look for a line- If the locals will wait for it then its probably worth it.
  • Farmers market- See who’s shopping and ask the stands who uses local produce.
  • Ask the pros- Not usually my thing but sometimes will go on a food tour and I have had great luck getting to try amazing food. Plus, I always get tips on where to eat later. Once I even got amazing recommendations for the next city we were visiting!
