Ginger and turmeric are two types of flowering plants that are widely used in natural medicine. I love the invigorating flavor and aroma of ginger. It is one of the healthiest spices on the planet and has incredible detoxing and cleansing benefits. Loaded with nutrients and powerful anti-inflammatory properties, turmeric is this beautiful orangey-yellow spice that has a slightly sweet and earthy flavor. Curcumin is the main active ingredient in turmeric; and it has powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and antibacterial effects. Both have also been used to help relieve pain, decrease nausea, and enhance immune function to help protect against illness and infection.
Ginger and turmeric come from the same botanical family. They are root herbs that offer a variety of wellness benefits individually, and both have been used throughout history in traditional health systems. Both research and traditional uses of turmeric and ginger indicate that these two amazing root herbs provide powerful and significant benefits in similar areas of health. Trying them together gives you targeted nourishment and multi-faceted support for overall health and wellness. From boosting immunity to relieving pain, there are several reasons to mix turmeric and ginger into your foods. Turmeric and ginger are a powerful pair for overall wellbeing. Turmeric and ginger are staple flavors for stir-fries, curries, stews, teas and much more. Both also make flavorful, tangy additions to smoothies and juices I include them daily on my diet. Love to use turmeric and ginger on my scrambled eggs. When I make bone broth, I add both species. Both ginger and turmeric can be consumed fresh, dried, or ground, and added to a variety of dishes. They are also available in supplement form. How do you use turmeric and ginger?

Love using turmeric as a part of my beauty routine! I mix equal parts raw honey and turmeric and use it as a face mask. Helps with inflammation/redness, brightens my skin, and also moisterizes from the honey!

Turmeric also keeps the skin moist, makes it brighter, and helps with healing injuries.
