These health benefits may surprise you, even if you have houseplants already! And if you don't, you'll want some after reading this. With people spending more time time at home these days, there's an increase in opportunity to spend time with plants indoors and soak up their benefits. Simply being near something alive, like a plant, can help reduce stress and anxiety. You may even feel joy & happiness or a feeling of accomplishment when there is something to nurture and watch grow and thrive from your care. Plants improve air quality, mental health, productivity, mood, concentration, and creativity! Which is perfect for supporting a work from home environment. And when you're taking daily Zoom calls, the plants will absorb the carbon dioxide that is released when exhaling and they will release oxygen - keeping you alert and engaged! So go ahead and bring home some plants to liven up what can be a sterile space like your office or kitchen. Share your houseplants and how they brighten your day.
