Organic. The word alone is almost as big a hot button these days as politics, people are all too eager to jump in and give you their professional opinion on the topic even when its unsolicited. So, what am I going to tell you that you haven’t already heard? What can I possibly regurgitate that you yourself haven’t already been forcefed by social media, politicians, neighbors, your aging hippy uncle who stands strong and swears by tempeh burgers and avocado tofu chocolate mousse!? An opportunity to make your own choice, that’s it!
Everyone has had a Thanksgiving meal that didn’t turn out the way you wanted. Maybe you tried to defrost the turkey that morning? Or started the turkey too late and pulled it too early so it’s under cooked? The issue probably wasn’t that you don’t know how to cook it’s that you don’t know how to plan and manage your time! All great chefs rely on lists and timelines to execute large dinner parties and you should too.
Inviting over a group of guests always sounds like fun. Feeding a big group can send even a calm cook into panic mode. “Stress levels naturally run a bit higher when you’re having a party! Planning is the key to alleviating a lot of anxiety, and if you have a great time, your guests will, too.
Tired of all that bacon grease splattering all over you, your stovetop, and your counters? Yup, so was I. I also hated having to clean up all that bacon fat! Let alone getting burned by the rogue grease flying all over the place
I have to say, right off the bat, I love creating beautiful platters with food.
My grandmother says, “an artist paints on a canvas, you build a beautiful masterpiece with food.” Slow cookers are truly a kitchen superstar. They make cooking a cozy meal for the family uncomplicated.
When the “you know what” really hit the fan, I went to stock up on groceries just like everyone else. While my husband was focused on the shortage of paper goods, I definitely took notice of the fact that the entire baking section was cleared out.
How to Properly Use CBD in Meal Prep and the Benefits It Has by Chef Corey + BONUS RECIPES!1/7/2020 Let’s start off by getting one thing straight, CBD (cannabidiol) is not Marijuana, although it does come from the marijuana plant (a male plant not female). It will not get you “high” as it doesn’t have THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) the main ingredient that gives the psychoactive effects many people associate with when thinking of Marijuana.
We as humans are eating sugar in everything from smoothies to breads to even salads. Why not try to control your sugar as much as possible with one little fruit?
Over the past two yrs I have been working frequently with dates, date sugar and date nectur. This amazing fruit works very well in my baking, sweeten oatmeals, savory dishes like BBQ, Asian, even in Paleo ketchup and steak sauces. Making your date nectur syrup is simple. Just simmer dates in a water, cool, blend in your Vitamix and strain. As easy as that. Have no time, try: D'Vash necturs They make incredible natural organic sweetners guaranteed to fit into your diet. See attached link address: For baking purposes, granulated date sugar has a 1:1 ratio to regular sugar. Why dates? The sugar content is 1/3 less than honey. The higher fiber aids in blocking sugar content from absorption a huge benefit for people who suffer from blood sugar issues. Also not made by bees so falls into a Vegan as well as Paleo and the Whole30 diet. As well as, ounce by ounce more potassium than bananas!!! |
